We're Builders, Ballers, and
Believers in the Power of Play
Who are We?
We are a team of athletes, coaches, community leaders, and tech builders who grew up on courts just like yours. Whether it was a barangay court in Manila or a school gym in Sydney, we understand the hustle behind every league.
PlayLokal was born from a deep love of basketball and a drive to make organizing games as seamless and rewarding as playing them.
Built by people who know the game.
We don't just build for sports organisers. We are organisers. Our founders run RISE Youth Basketball Academy in Sydney, so we know what it takes to fill a court every week.
Our team also includes a co-founder of Purpose Academy who helped launch Maharlika Pilipinas in the MPBL, and the co-founder of a payments platform.
Alam namin ang hirap at saya ng pagbuo ng community, kasi ginagawa rin namin ito araw-araw.
Our Team
Chris Calixto
Co-Founder & CEO
Chris leads PlayLokal with the same passion and discipline he brings to the court. As a seasoned project manager and head coach of a youth basketball fundamentals program, he's spent years developing not just skills, but strong values in young athletes.
Kirsten Calixto
Co-Founder & COO
Kirsten is the operational engine behind PlayLokal. With a background in business and a deep commitment to community building, she brings structure to big ideas and keeps the team moving forward.
Paolo Orbeta
CBO
Paolo is a respected figure in Philippine basketball—both on and off the court. A former competitive player, he co-founded Purpose Academy and helped launch Maharlika Pilipinas in the MPBL.
Chris Koloadin
CTO
Chris brings deep technology and business experience, along with a genuine connection to basketball. As co-founder and CTO of a payments platform and a regular basketball player, he understands the game, the community, and the technology needed to support both.
